The Challenge
Heathcote Juniper Lounge is a venue with plenty happening each week, live music, Sunday sessions, pizza nights, specials and local events, but it needed a clearer, more consistent way to communicate that activity.
The challenge was creating content that felt true to the venue: a little playful, music-led, local and full of personality, while still making it easy for people to quickly see what was on and when.
The Approach
I developed a regular weekly content rhythm across Facebook and Instagram, built around upcoming events, live music, food offers, drink specials and community moments.
Alongside the social content, I refreshed and extended the visual identity through branded posters, event graphics, menus, print collateral and digital promotional assets. This created a more cohesive look across both the venue and its online presence.
The Strategy
The content was designed to make Juniper Lounge feel active and worth visiting every week. Weekly “What’s On” guides gave people an easy overview of upcoming events, while individual promotional posts gave key nights their own spotlight. Live performers, pizza nights, Sunday sessions and special events were all supported with a mix of bold graphics, venue photography and personality-led captions. The visual direction balanced the venue’s old-school character with a more polished, modern and recognisable look.
The Outcome
The work helped create a stronger, more consistent presence for Heathcote Juniper Lounge across social media and in print. By keeping the venue visible week to week, the content made it easier for locals and visitors to see what was happening, engage with upcoming events and recognise the Juniper Lounge brand across multiple touch points.
It also created a flexible design system that can continue to support new performers, specials, menus and campaigns as the venue evolves.
